Your Victories May Torment Others

1 Samuel 19:8-10

And there was war again. And David went out and fought with the Philistines and struck them with a great blow, so that they fled before him. 9 Then a harmful spirit from the Lord came upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand. And David was playing the lyre. 10 And Saul sought to pin David to the wall with the spear, but he eluded Saul, so that he struck the spear into the wall. and David fled and escaped that night.

It is always important to note that NOT everyone around you is necessarily for you. Many times the very people who should be cheering you on are tormented by your success. Every obstacle you overcome reminds them of their own failures and shortcomings. Every battle that you win is looked at as a dimmer to their personal spotlight. Therefore it is imperative that you learn to treat personal attacks like David did; duck the blow and keep moving forward. Where you are is ordained by God. And no matter how they may try, no man can kill what God has ordained to live. No man can curse what God has called blessed.

No matter the attack, keep winning! No matter the obstacle, keep overcoming! Don't allow the disapproval of others to sidetrack you from the calling God has on your life! Become all that you are supposed to be! Accomplish all that you have been called to accomplish! When haters start hating, take out your spiritual pom-poms, and cheer you on your own self! (Man Note: My apologies if the "pom-pom" reference is too girly)

This is not the time for you to get messed up by your haters! Stand fast and see the salvation of The Lord. Continue to move forward in your integrity until God makes your enemies into your footstools!
